Surely these already exist? And take the form of enlightened botanic and zoo sites?
Isn’t the Eden Project a museum of the environment ( although that makes it sound much more boring that it is)
And the straightforward unimaginative appproach to a centre promulgating ecological virtues – in the form of the Earth Centre – was doomed to failure from the start
