£30 million in backdated zoo VAT with help of Sir Digby Jones
UK zoos have recouped a figure in the region of £30 million over the last two years and secured ongoing exemption.
Although the result of a lengthy legal process, the funds were hastened and more certainly secured due to an extended lobby programme by John Regan Associates through Sir Digby Jones of the CBI direct to the Chancellor.
